Hello again. Had my monthly assessment at Lake County General Health District yesterday. It went fairly well. My BMI and body fat content continue to decrease. Look forward to seeing fellow participants tomorrow at the weigh-in. Good luck to everyone.
Thanks to Laura, Jayme and Kori for their encouragement.

Lighten Up

Hello again. Hope all my fellow participants are "staying the course". Congratulations to Jim and Tim for again leading the pack in weight loss. We saw Tim and Ken and a couple of other participants last night at Cabana's. The say that salmon is good for you. I've tried it and haven't liked the taste. However, I decided to try the Chili Salmon last night at Cabana's and it was quite good. Have a test of my willpower this evening. My Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a pizza bakeoff. I've been trying to avoid pizza, though I love it. Will try to limit to a couple of pieces tonight. I was sorry that I couldn't hear Laura on WELW yesterday. Had a business appointment and couldn't listen. Hope it went well, Laura. Keep at it everybody!

Lighten Up

Last Saturday was another weigh-in. Laura Kessel and Jayme from Lean Living were on hand to weigh us in. Had the pleasure of seeing our co-leaders Jim and Tim. Jim is working hard and exercising frequently. We often see Tim at Cabana's. My weigh-in was encouraging, though the work continues. Getting under 200 was a big goal. The next one is to get under 190. At my February physical, my doctor told me that any future health problems at weight over 190 are my fault and any health problems at weight under 190 are not my fault. Look forward to see how everyone in the program is doing in Sunday's News-Herald. Best wishes to all participants.

Hello again. It's been a good week. We spent about 5 days in Florida visiting friends at their condominium. I ate a bit more than I would have at home. However, we tried to snack on veggies & hummus rather than the not so good snacks. We missed the weekly dinner at Cabana's last week due to our travel plans the next day. We were there last night though.  I decided to have the dish from our first visit, Fiesta Chicken. It is very good but very spicy. Needed to drink a lot of water with it. It's one of my favorite dishes on Cabana's "Lighten Up" menu. Have a good week everybody.
